Recharging Stations and Recharging and Cleaning Instructions
Elemental Stone Therapies® layouts are programmed to support your healing journey and must be recharged frequently to keep the energy moving smoothly through them. One hour in direct sunlight or moonlight is sufficient to recharge most pieces, but some days the weather doesn’t cooperate.
A Recharging Station is specially prepared granite or marble and is very helpful for those times when there just doesn’t seem to be enough sunlight available to recharge your layouts. You simply leave this specially prepared granite or marble square in an indoor location within a few feet of a window where it absorbs as much sunlight, natural daylight, and moonlight as possible throughout the day. For the Recharging Station, it doesn't matter what kind of windows you have. If it is near a window where light is shining in, it will get what it needs to do its recharging job. When your layouts need to be recharged, lay them on the Recharging Station and let them sit for at least 1 hour. (It may take a bit longer if charging several layouts at the same time).
Before first use or after long storage, it's best to let the Recharging Station sit in daylight and/or room light for 1 full day.
Note: Additional shipping charges for Recharging Stations will be determined based on the size of your order.
REMINDER: if you have a Recharging Station it doesn’t matter if you have double pane windows. The Recharging Station will work with any kind of windows, and is meant to be placed inside where it will utilize whatever daylight through windows or room light is available.

RECHARGING IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS!
Elemental Stone Therapies® layouts are designed to support you in your healing journey. To continue doing so they must be recharged at least daily. Recharging keeps the beneficial energy moving smoothly through them.
Ideally, recharge on an Elemental Stone Therapies Recharging Station for one hour or more. I recommend leaving your layouts on a Recharging Station whenever you are not wearing them. They can be in a small pile and will still recharge.
Note: If you use a Recharging Station, it does not matter what kind of windows you have or if there is direct sunlight.
The Recharging Station sits in your house, near a window, and draws in the necessary light for recharging.
If a Recharging Station is not available, you can recharge for one hour in direct sunlight or moonlight (on overcast days 4 hours in available light). Recharging on a windowsill works IF you have single pane windows, or an open window, even through the screen. Double & triple pane windows block UV light, so layouts won’t recharge properly through them.
In a pinch, an hour or more under a full spectrum lamp can work, but do not use this as your only means of recharging.
Caution: If you leave layouts in direct sunlight in extreme temperatures (hot or cold), the stones, elastic or wire may be impacted, making it more likely that your layout will break. If you decide to recharge your layouts out in nature, leave them for just one hour, and watch for birds and small animals that may be attracted to the energy and sparkle and take them.
Most layouts need to be removed & recharged after about 12 hours of wear. If your condition is acute, emotions are high, you are very sensitive, or your energy is intense or scattered, you may need to recharge more often. Some layouts come with specific recharging instructions. If you don’t recharge often enough, layouts will stop working, and/or the stones, wire or elastic may break. Layouts may give you subtle signs that it’s time to recharge. They may feel like they are not working, or pull hairs, feel hot, dull, suddenly uncomfortable, or a necklace may slide off. If this happens, take it off and recharge it before you wear it again. If you don’t, the layouts will stop providing support, they may break, or you will lose them.
Cleaning Your Layouts
Body oils, sweat, and creams, lotions, etc. that you put on your body can accumulate on your layouts, causing them to look dull, and to perform less effectively. They can also clog the holes of the beads, putting strain on the elastic or wire. Periodically wash your layouts in warm/hot soapy water, then rinse well. Or you can wear them into the shower. I do not, however, recommend soaking them in water. They just need a quick wash.
Layouts are not meant to last forever. Take care of them and they will last as long as possible. Dawn
